Still on the suadade trip, discovered "La Llorna"...

This is a very interesting legend, and concept, what would drive a mother to kill her own children? We have a lullaby in Afrikaans ("Siembamba") that has a similar story, apparently etymological analysis suggest a Portuguese and Xhosa origin to the lullaby.
